Is there any particular reason as to why you use acrylics and not oil? Faster drying?

:D ~ I have not made the time to learn oils. I hope some day I will be able to learn. Honestly, I regret not learning oils. I'm not sure if i will prefer them to acrylics because I have no basis for a comparison. People have told me that there is a certain "richness" about oils that one can not achieve with acrylics. However, I have not seen proof of this yet. Oil paint is one way to 'suspend' the pigment, acrylic is another. The new acrylics offer many ways to achieve rich and deep effects. Personally, I use a lot of glazing solution mixed into my paints. What I come up with is something very rich. Perhaps some day on the oils. I admit, thinking of waiting days or even hours for paint to dry seems very difficult. I'm not a patient man.
